State Board elects officers for 2022-23/celebrates new congregations
The Florida Baptist State Board of Missions tapped a new slate of officers and welcomed 61 new congregations during its Nov. 14 meeting held in conjunction with the 2022 Florida Baptist State Convention annual meeting at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola.

Church Hosts Fall Festival and Welcomes New Pastor
Pine Terrace Baptist Church in Milton had an extra reason to celebrate at the fall festival this year. On October 30, the church hosted the annual fall festival and called Nathan Brown as senior pastor.

DR tapering down Hurricane Ian response/watching Tropical Storm Nicole
Even as Florida Baptist Disaster Relief leaders and volunteers are beginning to taper down their Hurricane Ian response efforts, they are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Nicole, which may intensify into a Category 1 hurricane before making landfall late Wednesday night, Nov. 9, or early Thursday morning, Nov. 10, on Florida’s East Coast.

Committee on Nominations Report
The Committee on Nominations of the Florida Baptist State Convention has released its official report on nominees for elections to the State Board of Missions, Committee on Order of Business, Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, Florida Baptist Financial Services, The Baptist College of Florida and the Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center.

BCF Trustees receive reports/look toward future
In an Oct. 18 meeting, the Board of Trustees of The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville received reports from each of the committees outlining the significant work being done in each area. The executive committee informed the board of the sale of the clinic building and the re-lease agreement with the Tri-County Airport Authority.
