Four Florida Baptist leaders will be nominated to serve as 2025-26 officers of the Florida Baptist State Convention when the annual meeting convenes in Orlando, Nov. 10-12.

Brian Stowe, senior pastor of First Baptist Church Plant City, will be nominated by Ted Traylor, pastor of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, to serve as 2025-26 president of the Florida Baptist State Convention,

“Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,” sang Ted Traylor, as he shared a message from Isaiah 41:14-20 at the Florida Baptist State Convention annual meeting held Nov. 11-12 at First Baptist Church of Orlando.

Florida Baptist pastors were urged to have the “courage to continue” at the 2022 Florida Baptist Pastors’ Conference Nov. 13-14 at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola.

Church leaders need refreshment and to gain strength from one another. As a pastor for more than 30 years, Ted Traylor, senior pastor at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, knows that firsthand.

In his well-known folksy, anecdotal, and textual preaching style, Ted Traylor delivered a biblical message titled “Moving Baptists Forward Together” during the Nov. 9 morning session of the Florida Baptist State Convention in Lakeland.

During Ted Traylor’s 30 years as pastor of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, his leadership has not only impacted the world, but generations to come as he mentors the next generation who feel the Lord calling them to ministry.
