2020 has been a roller coaster ride. The decisions made have been difficult and challenging for the church. We have moved forward and backwards trying to navigate the expectations and realities surrounding our lives and churches.

The 2019 compilation of the Annual Church Profile (ACP) of the Southern Baptist Convention was released this past week. The results are being interpreted, scrutinized, and criticized across articles and social media platforms. The purpose of this writing is to celebrate the blessing of the Lord on Florida Baptists.

Florida Baptist Pastors and Churches have responded in an incredible manner during this pandemic. Our churches shifted within a matter of days to a new paradigm of ministry that honored the guidelines established to mitigate COVID-19.

The recent announcement of the partnership with the North American Mission Board for church planting in Florida is significant. The Send Network Florida agreement enables any church in the Florida Baptist Convention regardless of location to receive support from FBC and NAMB in church planting efforts.
